about
Birth is one of life's most transformative experiences, and Daisy Mason believes every family deserves to feel informed, supported, and deeply cared for throughout the journey.
A native New Yorker of British and Brazilian heritage, Daisy has been supporting growing families since 2018. She is a birth doula, postpartum doula, birth assistant, lactation counselor, childbirth educator, newborn care instructor, and apprentice midwife. Over the course of her career, she has attended more than 200 births and supported dozens of families during the postpartum period, bringing calm, confidence, and evidence-based guidance to every birth experience. Her work spans home births, birth centers, and hospitals throughout New York City, allowing her to support families across a wide range of birth preferences and circumstances.
Daisy's philosophy is rooted in the belief that informed families make empowered decisions. She provides compassionate, nonjudgmental support tailored to each family's unique goals, helping parents navigate pregnancy, labor, infant feeding, and the early weeks of parenthood with knowledge and confidence. Whether offering hands-on comfort during labor, lactation guidance after birth, or practical newborn care, her focus is always on helping families feel safe, respected, and deeply supported.
In addition to her clinical experience, Daisy continues to advance her education through midwifery training and ongoing professional development in lactation and infant feeding, neonatal resuscitation, VBAC support, HypnoBirthing®, and newborn care. She also offers specialized support for high-risk pregnancies, VBACs, home births, inductions, cesarean births, multiples, IVF families, LGBTQ+ families, survivors of childhood sexual abuse, and families welcoming babies after complex journeys.
Before entering birth work, Daisy studied music at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where she developed the presence, intuition, and ability to remain grounded under pressure that continue to shape her work today. Outside of supporting families, you'll find her spending time with her teenage son, designing jewelry, working as a commercial model, training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, or enjoying a walk through her beloved neighborhood of SoHo.
For Daisy, every birth is more than a milestone—it's the beginning of a new family's story. It is a privilege she never takes for granted to witness that moment and help families begin parenthood feeling empowered, connected, and cared for.
